The Hundred is a unique cricket competition introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board. In this tournament, eight men’s and women’s teams will compete against each other in a 100-ball format. Unlike traditional cricket matches, there will not be a particular number of ‘overs’ in The Hundred.
In fact, teams will have to deliver 100 legal deliveries in an innings. Since there will be no overs in this tournament, bowlers will have permission to bowl either five or ten deliveries on a trot, depending on the captain’s wish. Also, the powerplay will last for 25 deliveries.
Speaking of the Hundred Women’s 2021, there are eight teams in the division, namely Welsh Fire, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Birmingham Phoenix, Trent Rockets, London Spirit, Oval Invincibles and Southern Brave.
