Chepauk Super Gillies took on Siechem Madurai Panthers in the 27th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 on Sunday, July 28, at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. The Super Gillies won the toss and elected to bowl.
Suresh Lokeshwar and Hari Nishanth added 77 runs for the first wicket for the Madurai Panthers. Suresh scored 55 runs off 40 deliveries before getting dismissed in the 10th over. Nishanth had a partnership of 28 runs for the second wicket with Jagatheesan Kousik.
Nishanth was dismissed after scoring 37 runs off 28 deliveries, whereas Koushik made 43 off 24. These three helped the Madurai Panthers post a total of 191 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Abhishek Tanwar, Baba Aparajith, M Silambarasan, and Ashwin Crest took one wicket each for the Super Gillies.

The match went to the last over where the Super Gillies required 16 runs to win. They managed just six runs and lost one wicket as well, finishing with 182 runs for the loss of eight wickets and lost the match by nine runs.
