Dindigul Dragons won the second match of Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 by 16 runs against Trichy Grand Cholas. K Easwaran became the first bowler to take a six-wicket haul in TNPL. He finished with six wickets for 32 runs for the Grand Cholas. Shivam Singh led the batting charge for the Dragons with his knock of 78 runs off 51 deliveries. The Grand Cholas posted a total of 160 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.
Three batters managed to cross the 20-run mark for the Grand Cholas. However, no batter had a decent outing with the bat. The Grand Cholas fell short of the target by 16 runs. Shivam won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
Siechem Madurai Panthers defeated Salem Spartans by four wickets after chasing down the target of 181 runs in 19.3 overs. R Kavin and Vishal Vaidhya led the charge with the bat for the Spartans. They both scored a half-century and helped the team post a total of 180 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Murugan Ashwin took three wickets for 20 runs in four overs.
Suresh Lokeshwar and Jagatheesan Kousik scored a half-century each for the Panthers. It was enough for the Panthers to win the match in 19.3 overs. Sunny Sandhu and M Poiyamozhi took two wickets each for the Spartans.

Sandeep Warrier (Dindigul Dragons)
Warrier opened the bowling for the Dragons and took his first wicket in the very first over. He finished with two wickets for 17 runs in four overs.
Swapnil Singh (Siechem Madurai Panthers)
The 33-year-old bowling all-rounder opened the bowling for the Panthers. He took one wicket for 30 runs in three overs.
Hari Nishanth (Siechem Madurai Panthers)
The skipper of Madurai Panthers, Hari Nishanth opened the batting for his team. He could make only eight runs off seven deliveries.
