Rohit Sharma made his ODI debut back in 2007 and used to play in the middle order initially. He could not cement his position in the side as he struggled with consistency issues until he was promoted up the order to the opening position in 2012.
Since transforming into an opener at the start of 2013, he went onto reach his true potential with the bat and scored a plethora of runs and has established himself as one of the best ODI batsmen of this generation.
He has played 149 matches during this period and scored 6526 runs at an impressive average of 51.79 including 20 centuries.
