Pitbull (left) received a lot of criticism for not being able to make it to the ceremony at the last momentThe 4th edition of the Pakistan Super League is slated to kick start today with a match being played between the defending Champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars. The star attraction of the opening ceremony of 2019 PSL was supposed to be 'Mr. Worldwide' aka Pitbull. However, ever since Pitbull has revealed that he will be unable to make it to the ceremony, he has received a lot of criticism and trolled widely on Twitter. Prominent singers Aima Baig and Shuja Haider, Junoon - a Sufi rock band based in Pakistan, and actor-singer Fawad Khan and rapper Young Desi will be performing at the opening ceremony prior to the match. The trio of Shuja, Fawad, and Young Desi also collaborated to sing 'Khel Deewano Ka' - the official song of PSL. All the aforementioned artists attended a Press Conference held on Wednesday. The fans are set to be enthralled by a glamorous opening ceremony but will be missing the World-renowned musician. The reason which Pitbull gave drew a lot of flak, while many posted image of a 'local' Pitbull. Breaking: Mr Worldwide has an important message for all #HBLPSL fans. HBL PSL also apologises to all the lovely fans who were looking forward to the event. https://t.co/3sWNQVwxg3— PakistanSuperLeague (@thePSLt20) February 13, 2019In a video released by Pitbull on his Twitter account, he explains:"I was very excited to go to Dubai and perform at the Pakistan Super League cricket tournament. But unfortunately, what happened was that since it was such a long flight, the pilots took the plane for a test flight and when they landed, pieces of the (aeroplane's) engine had come apart. Between the Pakistan Cricket Board ... we had tried our hardest to get over to Dubai. So, I want to say sorry. I deeply apologize. I want to thank the HBL PSL for even thinking of me to come over to the cricket tournament. Hope to see you guys next year or anytime soon."Apologies to @Thepslt20 and Dubai pic.twitter.com/CtYn11w1wT— Pitbull (@pitbull) February 13, 2019Following are the best reactions from Twitter:So @pitbull can't attend #PSL4 opening ceremony Now we have to manage with our own pitbull #StandUp4PSL @PSLMemesWalay pic.twitter.com/L3GnEC15MF— M Ø Ë Ë Ž 🔥 (@MoeeZmumtaz786) February 14, 2019Pitbull is already here #PSL4 pic.twitter.com/2ObA8ytBdV— Faraz (@FarazShamim1) February 13, 2019Pitbull nhi aa rahi .. opening ceremony k tickets b bech diye us k naam pe aur 10 crore b bach gaey.
