The Pakistan Super League is into its fifth season in 2020 and looks forward to providing the entertainment it provided in the first four seasons. The constantly changing PSL points table is a signal of the entertainment that the tournament provides.

The six franchises will play a double round-robin stage in the league stage i.e., they will play two matches against every other team, one at home and one away. There will be a total of 30 league stage matches over a period of 25 days.
The six participating teams will be fighting it out to find a spot in the top four. The top four teams in the PSL 2020 Table will qualify for the Playoffs. Similar to the Indian Premier League, there will be two Qualifiers and an Eliminator followed by the tournament final.
