US Open Premier Cricket League 2024: Full schedule, squads, match timings, and live-streaming details

The US Open Premier Cricket League, organized by Cricket Council USA (CCUSA), is all set to return for its highly anticipated 16th edition, scheduled from December 14 to December 21, 2024, at the Broward County Cricket Stadium in Florida. Over the course of the week, 13 matches will be played, including the semi-finals and final, with a total prize pool of $300,000 up for grabs.

Since its inception in 2009 by Mahammad Ahmed Qureshi (MAQ), the tournament has grown into one of the premier cricketing events in the United States. This year's competition will feature five teams: DC Eagles, Dallas Smashers, LA Lions, NY Yorkers, and Chicago Catchers, each led by renowned captains. Sharad Lumba will coach the Dallas Smashers, while Faisal Iqbal takes charge of the LA Lions. Lendl Simmons will guide the NY Yorkers, Rizwan Cheema will lead the Chicago Catchers, and Muhammad Asif will coach the DC Eagles.

The previous edition of the tournament saw Kingsmen X emerge victorious, defeating Masters World XI by eight wickets. Kingsmen X chased down a modest target of 48 runs in just 4.2 overs, thanks to an explosive 16-ball 39-run knock from Shayan Jahangir. Ravi Bopara and Samit Patel were the standout bowlers in the final, with Bopara taking three wickets for just five runs and Patel claiming three wickets for only eight runs, securing a dominant win for Kingsmen X.

The US Open Premier Cricket League continues to play a key role in promoting cricket in the United States. By attracting international players and fostering local talent, the tournament has become a vital platform for advancing the sport's presence and growth across the country.
