Virat Kohli postpones Indian Sports Honors ceremony to show solidarity with CRPF Martyrs

44 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) lost their lives in a shocking terror attack at Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Reports stated that the suicide bomber attacked the CRPF of with the car which was carrying 60 kgs of powerful RDX.

The entire nation is still in shock as it is one of the biggest terror attacks in the last ten years in the state.

The cricketing world joined hands to condemn the heartless act.

Virat Kohli tweeted stating that he is in shock after hearing about the incident and also prayed for the speedy recovery of those in hospital.

The Indian captain also postponed the RP-SG Indian Sports Honours event, which was scheduled to take place today, as a mark of respect for the CRPF personnel martyred in the Pulwama terrorist attack.

The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours is an initiative from Virat Kohli foundation and RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. The inaugural event was held in 2017 and the second one was supposed to take place today. It's an event to bring key stakeholders in the sports arena together where top performers in various sporting disciplines will be recognized with awards.

Former Cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who has been vocal about his support to armed forces, also condemned this brutal attack in his tweet.

Virender Sehwag strongly condemned the cowardly attack and also wished for the speedy recovery of injured.
