Virat Kohli snaps at journalist over Anushka Sharma enquiry
A lot of people have been talking about Virat Kohli’s rumored break-up with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. On February 16, at a promotional event in Mumbai, the flamboyant batsman snapped at a journalist who asked him personal questions.
When he was asked to define relationship the 27-year-old said, “I am not a relationship counselor. What kind of question is that? I think you have asked me the wrong question,”
The answer was an indication that he prefers to keep his personal life under wraps though it did not stop the speculation.
The Indian limited-overs vice-captain recently became the new brand ambassador for an age-old Swiss watch company, dealt with another bouncer at the same event when asked to name an actor from the film industry to whom he would gift the watch.
Kohli was smart enough to understand the hints and replied, “I would gift it to my family, it could be somebody from the cricket team too. Let’s be professional, do not swing things in other direction.”
One learns from mistakes: Kohli
However, he agreed that he overdid things on the cricket field at times. Talking about his overtly aggressive behaviors in the field the Delhi-born cricketer said, “I would like to correct many things if possible. On the cricket field, I have crossed the line quite a few times but one commits a mistake and then, learns,”
Earlier this year rumors speeded in social media that the most talked about romance between cricket and Bollywood seems to have hit a rough patch. What set about the mills running is the fact that Kohli has unfollowed the actress on Twitter and Instagram.
According to some tabloid magazines, the trouble erupted because the actress had turned down Kohli’s marriage proposal, saying that she wanted to focus on her films instead.
A source has also allegedly said that Kohli had been growing a beard in preparation for the marriage, according to his family's rituals. He had since then cut his beard after his marriage proposal was snubbed.
After the alleged split Kohli was seen in a party and sources claimed that in the party Kohli said, “I’m single, let’s dance,”
Virat Kohli posted his photo on Facebook just before the event in Mumbai.
