West Indies vs England 2019, 3rd Test: Preview & Predicted Playing XI

England needs to bounce back in the final test
England needs to bounce back in the final test

PREVIEW

West Indies turned back the clock to take us all back to the 1970s-80s era with their dominating performance over the highly rated England side. Having won the first two Test matches, they have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match Test series.

Now with the series in their kitty, they would be eyeing to clean sweep the visitors. The Caribbean cricket has been transformed manifolds since last year, especially in the longest format of the game, they have outplayed their opponents quite often.

Joe Root will be under tremendous pressure heading into the final game of the series. Their bowlers have delivered, but it’s the batting that has let them down in this tour.

Apart from Jonny Bairstow, no other batsman has looked in good form. However, they will be relieved by the absence of Jason Holder in the upcoming match. England would be desperate to perform well in this match to get the consolation win and keep their heads high.

West Indies have outplayed the English Lions in all the three departments in this series so far. Jason Holder has led his troops from the front and has performed well with both bat and ball. Windies would be eyeing to dominate the game like the first two tests. They are onto something special if they win the final test to whitewash the England team.
