The West Indies Women’s cricket team will host South Africa in June for multiple white-ball fixtures. The tour will kick off with a three-match ODI series on Wednesday, June 11. All three ODIs will be hosted by the Three Ws Oval in Cave Hill, Barbados. The series will serve as an ideal testing ground for the Proteas Women ahead of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka later this year.
The West Indies and South Africa Women have previously faced each other 33 times in ODIs, with the former bagging 12 wins (including two Super Over victories) and the Proteas securing 16 wins. Four of those matches ended without producing a result.
As far as recent form is concerned, the West Indies women’s team lost their three-match ODI series in England by a 0-3 margin. In April this year, the West Indies finished third in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2025 in Pakistan, behind tournament hosts and Bangladesh.

The South African women’s team, on the other hand, suffered crushing defeats to India and Sri Lanka during their ODI tri-series in Colombo last month. The Proteas Women also lost their home ODI series to England in December 2024.
