#6 Jason Roy

Jason Roy's performance as an opener was one of the critical reason for England's success at the World Cup. He, along with his opening partner Bairstow helped the team by playing out the new ball in testing conditions and made several vital partnerships throughout the tournament. Roy's score of 85 in the semi-final against Australia was essential as it helped to stabilize the innings and provided a platform for England's entry into the finals.

In 7 innings, Roy managed to score 443 runs at an average of 63.28. His highest score of 153 in the World Cup was against Bangladesh at the Sophia Gardens.

#5 Joe Root

Joe Root had an incredible 2019 World Cup with the bat. The one feather in his armory which helped England a lot during the tournament was his ability to play spin better than anyone in their batting order. Further, his calm presence on the pitch played a massive role in England's victory against the mighty Aussies in the semi-final.

Having been consistent with the bat throughout the World Cup, Root scored 556 runs at a decent average of 61.77 in 11 innings. He will probably look to bring this form with him in the Ashes series against Australia next month.
