Multiversus is a free-to-play fighting game that is similar to Smash Bros. While this similarity doesn't brand it as a copy, it positions it as another fair competitor in the market. The game underwent an open beta phase from July 2022 to June 2023 and was received pretty well by the gaming community. Initially, player counts were robust during this early access stage, but the limited roster led to a decline in player counts over time.

Multiversus is officially launching in May 2024, and people are excited with the announcement of Joker being added to the game. This news has everyone riled up with speculation about what other characters can enter the domain of Multiversus. Warner Bros' have a lot of IPs which means the possibilities are endless. Here we will talk about 5 new characters we want in Multiversus.

Note: This list is subjective, reflects the author's opinions, and is not in any particular order.

These 5 characters will be fun to play as in Multiversus

1) Daffy Duck

Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny have been frenemies since our childhood days. With the inclusion of our favorite bunny in the game, it's only fair to add Daffy in Multiversus as well. Imagine all the scenarios and callbacks we can get in the game. Maybe this addition can be the start of something even bigger, like a season dedicated to Looney Tunes.

The next season could feature Daffy Duck as the main attraction, accompanied by an original level related to him, akin to the Batcave level for Batman. Introducing Daffy Duck could attract new players to the game who grew up watching Looney Tunes during their childhood.

2) Mr. Meeseek

Rick and Morty's inclusion in Multiversus, stemming from the successful adult animation of the same name, has been well-received by fans. However, the successes and popularity of the show can be further capitalized on by including more well-known characters from the show in the game. We believe that the addition of Mr. Meeseeks in Multiversus will be a perfect fit for this fighting game.

Mr. Meeseeks' powers include duplication of himself and creating conflicts in the level to flip the power of the fight towards himself. Rick and Morty fans will appreciate the addition of Mr. Meeseeks in Multiversus in the future seasons of the game.

3) Harry Potter

Harry Potter remains one of the most beloved names in both the movie and book worlds, with a passionate fanbase that continues to keep the character's legacy alive. Despite the conclusion of the movies over a decade ago, the franchise thrives, thanks to devoted Potterheads. Given that the license for Harry Potter is owned by Warner Bros', we think it's only fair to add him in Multiversus as a playable character.

Not only will Harry Potter bring in more fans to Multiversus, but it will also help in adding more locations like Hogwarts and Diagon Alley to the game. His addition can bring in aerial attacks using the broom, magic spells to turn the tides of the match, and maybe Ron and Hermoine in future DLCs. The addition of Harry Potter in Multiversus can be a huge celebration of both the game and the Harry Potter universe.

4) The Flash

Flash is undoubtedly a fan-favorite character, yet he has been notably absent from many video games. Adapting his superpower into a video game format presents a unique challenge. While games like Injustice have done justice to The Flash, it's time for Multiverses to introduce him as a playable character. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are already in the game so why not Flash?

Playing as The Flash in Multiversus can allow you to pull off some sick speedster fight moves bringing in more fans of him to the game. Maybe adding The Flash in the game can set an example for making a standalone game for him in the future as well!

5) Ben 10

Ben 10 has experienced extensive expansion across various media, including books, games, live-action movies, and more. Since its inception in 2005, the franchise has maintained unparalleled popularity. Multiversus could capitalize on this by including Ben Tennyson as a playable character, allowing him to showcase his unique ability to transform into different alien forms through special moves.

It doesn't matter which version of Ben 10 is included in Multiversus, the fans will celebrate his inclusion anyway. Watching Ben transform into different aliens to fight in the game will make him a strong character in the roster.
