5 things we would like to see from Marvel's Spider-Man 3

Marvel's Spider-Man 3 is one of the most highly anticipated games from Insomniac after the release of Spider-Man 2 last year. The sequel managed to heavily expand on the first game by adding new features like the wingsuit, faster web swinging animations, and new gadgets to mess around with during combat. The game also managed to surprise a majority of the fanbase with a new take on Venom by using Harry Osborne as the host instead of Eddie Brock like in the comics.

Overall Spider-Man 2 felt like a step forward because of all these innovations in addition to its aim of providing a 4K 60FPS experience on the PlayStation 5. However, with the game out of our rearview mirror, we believe it's time to look forward to Spider-Man 3. Even though the game has not officially been announced by Insomniac Games, we can still talk about our expectations.

This article will take a look at five things we want to see in Marvel's Spider-Man 3.

These 5 things are what we expect to see in Marvel's Spider-Man 3

1) A female Spider-Man

We finally got to see a great look at how Insomniac games handled two male leads side by side by giving them their separate missions in the story mode and side missions. This time, we believe it is time we finally got to see a female Spider-Man in the story by having someone like Gwen Stacy or Silk as a protagonist in Spider-Man 3.

2) A new city to explore

In the last three games, we have explored every nook and cranny of New York, and bringing it back again might let the fatigue set in. Spider-Man 2 could look fresh because it included two new locations to explore, Brooklyn and Queens. If Spider-Man 3 wants the players to feel they are entering a new game, then Insomniac Games needs to add a new map to it.

3) New suits

The Spider-Man games feature suits from various comics, live-action movies, and animated shows of the famous web crawler. While some of these suits look amazing, others look average at best which is a problem that has plagued even some of the DLC suits that were added to the game later. Spider-Man 3 must address this issue and add fresh suits which we have never seen before.

4) Friendly neighborhood side quests

Spider-Man is a superhero who is known for helping citizens on a smaller scale of crimes. In the first game, we saw various side quests where Peter helped citizens around the map with simple tasks that made him a loveable character. However, that aspect of him was reduced in the sequel. This is why we wish to see the third installment focus on Spider-Man helping citizens with smaller crimes and tasks.

5) Expanded Spiderverse

Spider-Man 2 included a collectible run of spider-bots which, when finished, unlocked a cut scene of a deleted character from the Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse franchise. Unfortunately, this never led to anything significant. Spider-Man 3 could include new Spider-People from different universes—such as Spider-Man 2099 and Spider-Ham—into the storyline.
