Before its launch, Haze garnered supreme traction among the gaming communities, leading to huge expectations. However, when the game finally hit the stores, nothing other than disappointment greeted the developers and publishers.
A short single-player campaign, technical issues and an underwhelming plot largely contributed to the criticism. Lack of diverse multiplayer modes only made matters worse for Haze.
#3 Duke Nukem Forever
Duke Nukem Forever, the sequel to the hugely successful Duke Nukem 3D had big shoes to fill upon its launch in 2011. Sadly, the game failed miserably, disappointing a whole lot of fans of the long-standing Duke Nukem franchise.
Both critics and fans criticised the game's simple mechanics, mediocre graphics and long loading times. The humour aspects, which have a long relationship with the Duke Nukem franchise, also received huge criticism.
None of the versions of the game (PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) managed to cross 55/100 score on Metacritic.
