Fallout 76 is an online action role-playing game published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Bethesda Game Studios. On November 14, 2018, the game was officially released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Bethesda created the game with a modified version of its Creation Engine which allows for multiplayer gameplay and a more detailed game world. This is Bethesda Studios’s first online multiplayer game.
Players can play alone or in groups of up to three others. It is a Fallout series instalment and a prequel to previous entries, but the game has a four-times-larger open world than Fallout 4. The in-game world is called "Appalachia," and it is based on West Virginia.
Character traits are classified into seven groups: strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility, and luck. The players can work on their skill points to improve their attributes on a scale of one to fifteen. The game expands on Fallout 4's settlements by allowing the player to construct bases in a variety of locations across the map.
Fallout has Adventure Mode, Survival Mode, Nuclear Winter Battle Royale, and Private Worlds. Later in the game, two new game modes were added: Public Worlds (created by the developers) and Custom Worlds (privately-accessible by a paying subscriber).
The game is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
