Releasing more than two decades after the original, Silent Hill 2 Remake looks like a promising horror survival game. Konami and Bloober Team are working closely on the title, keeping in mind what the players will be expecting. The game is set to receive boosted graphics, and improved gameplay, among many others. Just a few days back, Konami announced that they have added 156 additional tracks to Akira Yamaoka's original soundtrack from the game.

Silent Hill 2 Remake English and Japanese voice actors revealed
1) James Sunderland - Luke Roberts (English), Chikahiro Kobayashi (Japanese)

Luke Roberts is a British actor known for his appearances in popular TV shows and movies like Game of Thrones and Ransom. Moreover, he has previously been cast in a few games like Outcast: A New Beginning and Risen 2. However, this will be his biggest role in the realm of gaming so far. Roberts will be the voice of the main protagonist of the game - James Sunderland.
The Japanese version of the main protagonist is played by Chikahiro Kobayashi who previously worked on games like Cyberpunk 2077 (Male version of V) and Final Fantasy 7 Remake (Butch).
2) Angela - Gianna Kiehl (English), Risa Shimizu (Japanese)
Rising talent Gianna Kiehl will be making her debut as a voice actor in the world of video games with Silent Hill 2 Remake. Having been into theatre since the age of six, Gianna Kiehl has previously worked as a voice actor in podcast series like Takeover and Young Blood.
Angela's voice in the Japanese version of the game is portrayed by Risa Shimizu. Some games that Shimizu has previously worked on are Cyberpunk 2077 (Female V), Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Kassandra), and Need for Speed Unbound (Tess).
3) Mary/Maria - Salome Gunnarsdottir (English), Shizuka Ito (Japanese)
Hailing from Iceland, Salome Gunnarsdottir also has a good amount of experience under her belt. Apart from her brief roles in many movies from the Justice League franchise, she has also appeared previously as a voice actress in the popular Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Dawn of Ragnarok. Moreover, she was also the voice of Lyna and Athena in Final Fantasy XIV. In Silent Hill 2 Remake, she will be the voice of Mary - the late wife of James Sunderland.
Shizuka Ito, the Japanese voice actor of Mary in the game, has previously worked on a whopping 129 video games including popular JRPG titles like Monster Hunter Rise (Minoto) and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Divine Child of Rejuvenation).
4) Laura- Evie Templeton (English), Sumire Morohoshi (Japanese)
Playing Laura's role in the game is 15-year-old British actress Evie Templeton. Having debuted at the age of 10, Templeton has previously worked in films like Lord of Misrule and Les Miserables.
The Japanese voice actor for Laura's character in Silent Hill 2 Remake is Sumire Morohoshi. Apart from acting, Morohoshi is also a singer by profession. Previously, she also worked as a voice actor on popular video games like Metaphor ReFantazio (Gallica) and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (Young Eveline).
5) Eddie - Scott Haining / Danny Kirrane (English), Toru Nara (Japanese)
English voice actors for Eddie's role in Silent Hill 2 have been played by Scott Haining and Danny Kirrane. Before this, Haining also worked as a voice actor in the 2020 game The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope (David).
Kirrane on the other hand, has tons of experience working on the silver screen as well as in Hollywood. Some of the popular movies and TV shows that Kirrane was a part of are Pirates of the Caribbean and Game of Thrones.
The man responsible for the Japanese voice of Eddie in the game is Toru Nara, who has previously worked on some huge projects like the God of War: Ragnarok (Raeb) and The Last of Us Part 2 (Seraphites). Additionally, his repertoire also includes multiple movies and animated TV shows.
Silent Hill 2 Remake will be globally released on October 08, 2024. The game can be enjoyed on any of the new-age consoles like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
