Atomic Heart 2 and MMO title The Cube set in the same universe announced at Summer Game Fest 2025

During the Summer Game Fest 2025, developer Mundfish announced two new titles, Atomic Heart 2 and an MMO set in the Atomic universe. During the SGF premiere, the sequel of the popular shooter set in an alternate history version of the Soviet Union, made fans ecstatic. As stated above, Mundfish also announced The Cube, which will allow fans to experience a brand new genre of ever-evolving gameplay.

Atomic Heart 2 is in active development

Announced at Summer Game Fest 2025, Atomic Heart 2 is a new first-person title in active development. Set in an alternate world, the game will be a spiritual successor to 2023's Atomic Heart and put more spotlight on player freedom.

Notably, the Twin Ballerinas from the first game also made an appearance. Developer Mundfish intends to focus more on the RPG elements with the world design and some gameplay elements like aerial traversal, combat, and more showcased at Summer Game Fest.

New MMO title The Cube announced in SGF

Additionally, a brand new MMO set in a mysterious cube flying high in the Atomic universe was showcased. The Cube highlighted a sense of constant change as the rotating sections of the object were intended to change up gameplay. Additionally, gun customization, unique new foes, various map terrains, and more sparked interest.

Although no clear release date for either game was shared at Summer Game Fest, fans can rest easy knowing that both will arrive on PC and consoles alike.
