The A-tier in the Deadlock tier list consists of viable alternatives to the S-tier Heroes and can be chosen from according to your personal preference.

The A-tier Heroes should not be slept upon and can be equally deadly in the right hands. They can easily replace the S-tier options if you prefer their playstyle.

For example, Bebop, Infernus, and Haze are extremely potent damage dealers and should not be taken lightly. With the correct understanding of their abilities and a proper build around them, they can easily challenge S-tier Heroes like Seven and Pocket.

Viscous and Lady Geist are difficult to master in Deadlock. However, their high-risk high-reward nature often proves beneficial in the right hands.

Abrams and Mo & Krill are pretty much perfect in their own category. Their high maximum health and support nature are built for tanking damage and letting your damage dealers shine.

The B-tier Heroes in the Deadlock tier list are comfort picks. They are not necessarily the best options in a match, but they can often dominate in the right hands.

Dynamo is a balanced and reliable Hero in the game for beginners. However, his kit lacks the firepower to perform efficiently in high MMR lobbies, which is why he's ranked in the B-tier.

Paradox and Wraith have very high outplay potential, but the sheer difficulty in utilizing their entire kit lands them in the B-tier.

Shiv is a high-damage dealer with flashy movement mechanics. However, he gets outshone in every aspect by Pocket, which ranks him in the B-tier.

The C-tier in the Deadlock tier list includes those Heroes that currently aren't that strong, but can easily climb up the ranks with a few minor tweaks.

McGinnis simply lacks speed. In a fast-paced game with a lot of stuff happening at once, and she fails to make a noticeable impact.

Grey Talon is simple and easy to use as a beginner. However, once you advance through the ranks, his impact keeps decreasing owing to his low damage output.

Lash, with his burst fire weapon and grappling abilities, is extremely difficult to use and is not reliable enough to rank higher in the tier list.

The D-tier in the Deadlock tier list consists of the absolute worst Heroes in the game. They will always create disadvantages for your team.

Being the only Sniper in the game, Vindicta fails to hold her own in a movement-based shooter like Deadlock. She is simply not reliable enough and constantly needs support to be able to provide value.

Yamato’s range greatly reduces her potential in Deadlock, and her Flying Strike ability is simply not enough to salvage her shortcomings. She gets outranged and outmatched in every 1v1 situation, which gets her ranked in the D-tier.
