YouTube star Jimmy "MrBeast" is known for his willingness to go above and beyond traditional approaches and think outside the box. Recent news, particularly from the New York Post, suggests that Jimmy has acquired an entire neighborhood in the southeastern suburbs of Greenville, North Carolina. He reportedly did so to provide housing for himself, his family, and his employees.

The report states that the neighborhood comprises five "modest houses" near where Jimmy spent his childhood. The initial property he purchased was priced at $318K.

Detailed accounts of MrBeast's investments reveal that he made his initial purchase on the street in 2018, acquiring a two-story, four-bedroom, four-bathroom house spanning 3,000 square feet for $320K.

Subsequently, he continued purchasing the neighboring houses for his family and employees, paying a premium over the market value for each property. In 2020, Jimmy purchased his second house for $263K, followed by three additional homes in 2021 and 2022, totaling $1.45 million.

Furthermore, the properties boast amenities such as a screened-in rear porch, a patio, a basketball court, and a detached storage building.

The New York Post article also featured statements from Aaron Bowden, a former resident of the street who purportedly sold his property to Jimmy last year. Below is a transcript of Mr. Bowden's comments:

“We negotiated back and forth and it had to be worth my while. And he wasn’t gonna buy it if it wasn’t worth his while."

He added:

"Some people have been there for a while. Some people, like one neighbor, had only been there for maybe a year...My immediately adjacent neighbor, they actually grew up in the neighborhood and her parents moved to the beach. They only moved up the street. They just moved into a different house.”

As of this writing, it appears that only one house in the entire neighborhood is not owned by MrBeast. It has been reported that the current homeowners are waiting for their children to complete their schooling before putting their houses up for sale. Once the sale is finalized, Jimmy is expected to purchase this house as well, effectively owning the entire neighborhood.
