Fallout 76 launched back in November last year to poor reviews and a huge amount of backlash from gaming community which made Bethesda and Bethesda Game Studios go completely dark. Tweeting only about the upcoming patches to fix the game as well as speaking about the different controversies they were involved in.

Well as of now most of these issues have been fixed and the game is actually playable. Bethesda finally decided to shed a light on what new contents are coming to the game this year and trust me it looks good.

Posting it out via their Twitter account, Bethesda revealed a complete a roadmap of 2019, listing out what is coming and there is indeed a lot coming.

Whether it be any good only time can tell, but its really good to see that amidst all the poor reception of the game, Bethesda hasn't forgotten to keep rolling out free content for the many years to come and well this is just the beginning after all.

Without any further ado, let's just get right into it.

Fallout 76: 2019 roadmap
Fallout 76: 2019 roadmap

Alright, so this roadmap is divided into three seasons.

The first update which is called Wild Appalachia will drop this spring, while the next one called Nuclear Winter will drop by sometime in summer of 2019 and the final and probably the biggest of them all called Wastelanders will drop by in fall of 2019.

#1 Wild Appalachia

Wild Appalachia
Wild Appalachia
A mythical beast, a lsot generation of scouts, and the strongest brew this side of the wasteland.

Wild Appalachia is the first of the 3 big updates the game will receive this year which will add first of all add a new game mode which the fans have been asking for quite some time now which is Survival.

Survival modes bring in higher stakes PvP experience with fewer restrictions, higher rewards and new challenges.

Dropping in first on March 12, two quests one of which will focus on Pioneers scouts, Fallout's version of Boy Scout and the other on hunting a mythical beast.

Addition to that the game will add a Brewing and distilling mechanics which will give players the option to brew their own version of Nukashine in their camps.

The game will also add the much-awaited player vending machine which let other players purchase stuff from you as well as a new vendor that sells legendary gear in exchange of the ones you got.

Aside from everything the game will also add multiple seasoned events that will reward the players with exclusive rewards.

#2 Nuclear Winter

The 2nd big update which is dropping in Summer of this year called Nuclear Winter.

This will bring in a completely new game mode for players to try which will completely change the game.

Aside from this game mode, Nuclear Winter will finally bring up Raids to Fallout 76. High-level raids in vaults 96 and 94 will finally open which players discovered in the game while exploring the main story.

Nuclear Winter will also come up with a new feature which lets high-level players above 50 to reset their characters and make them legendary and give them more powerful abilities.

#3 Wastelanders

Wasterlanders is the final DLC update planned for 2019 and it seems to be the biggest of them all.

Not much is known about it however right now, but Bethesda did confirm that it will add up new main questline, new factions, new events, new features and even more content which are saved for later.

The most important thing to note here is that the main quests will bring on choice and consequences to the story.

This is absolutely great news for the fans as Bethesda are finally adding up RPG elements to the story which was completely absent in the main game. This also, however, sparks speculation that the Wastelanders might finally add NPC in the game which the fans have been desperately asking for. I mean, how else would choice and consequences work right?

My thoughts

It's really satisfying to see that BGS is finally listening to player feedback when it comes to this game. They plan on supporting the game and seeing this roadmap makes me believe that good things are coming to this game and it's finally going to evolve into something new and exciting, something Bethesda probably envisioned all along but couldn't deliver it on the launch.

Whatsoever be the case, all these new features make me really excited and I can't wait to jump back into the game. ( Haven't even finished the main storyline yet.)

What are your thoughts regarding this roadmap for the game? Does it make you excited to venture back into the game? Or this doesn't excite you at all? Tell me in the comments down below.
