5 major players feat. Chelsea, Liverpool stars who will not feature for their actual teams in FIFA 18

FIFA 18 is all set to make a triumphant bow to the minds and hearts of gamers across the world later this month with the release date set for 29th September 2017.

EA Sports appear to be going all out in order to promote the game and in the process of doing so, boost sales and make the game popular among the masses. While there is plenty to look forward to this year with the game, there are also some concerns. Season 2 of Alex Hunter's career in "The Journey" has been heavily invested in and EA will hope that last year's story mode will have enough pull to get people to buy the game this time around to play as Hunter as he moves to another club in this edition.

But the bigger problem at hand comes from a more realistic situation. Sportskeeda reported earlier today that FIFA 18 will be unable to show players who moved to different clubs post 27th August in their first release of the game. This is due to the fact that the game has already been initiated and no more additions can be made. This is a big blow as there were several big moves that took place on or relatively before deadline day. Here are 5 major names who will miss out on representing their new teams in FIFA 18:

#5 Fernando Llorente (Tottenham Hotspur)

One of the deals of the day on deadline day featured Swansea striker Fernando Llorente all set to make the move from Wales to London. It was expected that he would be reunited with former Juventus manager Antonio Conte at Chelsea but Tottenham surprisingly swooped in and secured the services of the Spaniard at the very end.

The temptation of regular playing time at Spurs is likely the reason why Llorente decided to move to North London but this seemingly terrific piece of business done by Mauricio Poccetino may not be reflected in FIFA 18. As mentioned, deadline day transfers would not be updated in time for the release of FIFA 18 so expect to play with this 32-year-old in Swansea when the game releases.

#4 Renato Sanches (Swansea City)

In order to fill the huge void left by Fernando Llorente, Swansea aimed to do their bit of business at the end of the summer transfer window and seemingly hit the jackpot by signing Portugal's finest young prospect Renato Sanches on loan from Bayern Munich.

The mercurial Sanches has been widely considered the successor to Cristiano Ronaldo in the Portuguese squad and with that kind of shoes to fill, it's no surprise that Bayern are taking their time in building him as a beast of a player. A loan move to Swansea could be the exposure of the Premier League needed to make him a better player but when it comes to FIFA 18, he may still be in the Bayern ranks. Another victim of the same problem, fans may have to wait to play Sanches in the whites of Swansea City.

#3 Danny Drinkwater (Chelsea)

This is one of those transfers that was definitely on the cards. A Premier League winner with Leicester City two years ago, Danny Drinkwater made it certain that he was going to leave town and look for greener pastures. Chelsea came calling, and the rest is history. But the deal was finalised only in the wee hours of transfer deadline day meaning that there is no way that Drinkwater can be listed as a Chelsea player in FIFA 18's first release later this month.

It is disappointing when you consider that Kante and Drinkwater will be reunited in the midfield yet again, hoping to emulate their stellar work from two years ago with Chelsea this time around.

#2 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Liverpool)

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's Arsenal career has seen more downs than ups. In his five-year stint with Arsenal, the winger blew hot and cold but has managed to find willing suitors in the form of Liverpool. Seemingly on his way to Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp's last ditch effort paid off as he secured the services of "Ox" for a fee around £40 million. Critics may find that a touch expensive for a hungry but inconsistent performer but at least it's one more in the bag for the Merseyside club.

FIFA 18 will, however, not show Oxlade-Chamberlain as a Red owing to his deal being finalised post 27th August, the day of reckoning when it comes to updating the FIFA 18 squad list. A pity, as Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to play a major role at Anfield.

#1 Kylian Mbappe (PSG)

The talk of the town this summer transfer window had to be the future of Kylian Mbappe. The talismanic striker was all set for a record breaking signing with Real Madrid but that fell through. He was heavily linked with Barcelona too but eventually ended up staying in France but signing a loan deal with PSG. Following the Neymar situation, PSG wanted to perhaps avoid the hassle of facing Financial Fair Play sanctions so the deal for Mbappe has been reduced to a one-year loan with an option to buy at the end.

However, this huge transfer news will, unfortunately, be omitted from FIFA 18 records for the same reasons as specified before. Mbappe's move may have made headlines elsewhere, but gamers will have to wait longer to see the teenager as a Parisian.
