Genshin Impact 3.7 Server downtime and Maintenance schedule for new patch

Genshin Impact developers have officially announced the release of their latest version 3.7 update. Scheduled to launch on May 24, 2023, the new patch will bring brand-new content and banners. Players will also visit all the nations of Tevyat as they participate in the upcoming TCG flagship event. Before the new patch rolls out, the servers will be going under maintenance.

The official notes suggest that the server maintenance will take place at 6 AM (UTC-4) and will take around five hours to complete.

Genshin Impact has officially announced details about its upcoming 3.7 version update and server maintenance. Based on the 3.7 update maintenance preview, the game servers will undergo maintenance at 06:00 (UTC+8) on May 24, 2023. The official notes claim that the server downtime will last approximately five hours before the new patch rolls out at 11:00 (UTC+8) on the same day.

During this time, players will be unable to access their accounts. Those logged in during the start of the update maintenance will be automatically kicked out. Here is a list of all the relevant time zones that show the start time for Genshin Impact 3.7 maintenance:

Pre-Installation Feature and Maintenance Compensation

With the official announcement of Genshin Impact 3.7 server maintenance, the developer has also enabled the pre-installation feature. This feature is available for both PC and mobile platforms. This is a helpful function that allows players to download large game files in advance to have a smoother experience when the real version update is out.

Lastly, it is worth mentioning that server maintenance is also a great source for players to get some free Primogems. Since servers are shut down, and players cannot access their accounts, developers hand out at least 300 Primogems for free after every maintenance update. The compensation can be claimed directly from Genshin Impact's mailbox.
