Honkai Star Rail Survival Wisdom quest: Exploring the Sampo Treasure Map location

The Survival Wisdom quest is one of the many side events that Honkai Star Rail players must complete on their journey. Jarilo-VI is one of the most important locations in the game at the beginning of one's crusade. It’s the first foreign planet players will visit as part of the main campaign. During your time here, you will also encounter several new elements like the Golden Calyx, new characters, and more.

One of them includes a strange-looking guy named Sampo. He’s part of the main storyline and an important NPC in the quest.

This includes finding a treasure for him, which must be done twice. Once you have found the maps, the Survival Wisdom questline will be complete. Since Sampo plays a major role, the mission has become popular as the “Sampo Treasure” mission.

The primary objective remains the same regardless of what you choose to call it. While you might be initially confused about the treasure’s location, it can be easily located in Honkai Star Rail.

The Survival Wisdom mission helps Honkai Star Rail players increase their Trailblazer levels

The Survival Wisdom mission triggers automatically after a certain point where they have to go on a quest involving Svarog. However, you’ll be limited by your Trailblazer level, which needs to be at level 24.

It starts with Sampo asking you to find certain items for him that involve a treasure. In keeping with his essence, Sampo will first make you find a fake treasure.

To find the treasure map, head to where a band of vagrants will be camping. You’ll find a trash can with an option to investigate. There will be a glowing sign on it. This spot will be near one of the tents, but you’ll soon realize this map is fake.

Upon going back to Sampo, he reveals the truth as well. However, the Survival Wisdom quest will be completed at this point in Honkai Star Rail. You’ll be given the real treasure map for your efforts and several in-game resources.

Once you have the real treasure map, return to the same campsite and find the cart mine tracks. Follow the track to its end to find another glowing spot. Investigate it, and you’ll find a precious treasure. This completes the Greed Psychology achievement, and you’ll receive even more resources.

This is one of the easier missions you can undertake within the game. While some of these quests might seem unnecessary, they are important for progressing in a steady fashion. The resources you get from them will allow you to improve your team of characters in Honkai Star Rail.
