Mighty Doom is a popular run-and-gun shooter game developed by Bethesda Softworks for Android and iOS. It is one of Bethesda's latest offerings in the mobile gaming market and is set in the animated Doom universe. The game's objective is to shoot hordes of demons across multiple worlds and become the ultimate demon slayer.

Like any shooter game, weapons play a crucial role in Mighty Doom, as you'll have to know your way around them to shoot your way through hordes of enemies. The game offers plenty of weapons to choose from, and even mid-game, you can enhance their abilities to perform better and effectively take out stronger enemies.

Once you clearly understand each weapon class, it will be easier to successfully complete all your missions and progress quickly through the game.

A deep dive into how you can switch weapons in Mighty Doom

Now one of the most important things you'll need to remember is that, unlike Mighty Doom's mainline counterparts, the mobile version is an auto-shooter, and hence, its gunplay does not require any decision-making. However, your mini-slayer will encounter demons from all directions. So, you must tread carefully and play diligently to ensure you hit all your enemies and avoid taking damage from them.

Once you get a good grip on your weapons and their abilities, you can change them from time to time according to your preference. Mighty Doom's weapon tier list can be referred to here.

Your weapons can be swapped by clicking on the "Gear" button located at the bottom-left side of the game's main menu. It is the second icon from the left. Once you enter, you can view your loadout and switch weapons accordingly.

A mini-slayer can carry four different types of weapons, one from each of the following categories:

  • Primary weapons: Main weapons that include automatic rifles and shotguns
  • Secondary weapons: Deal more damage, but require short cooldown periods. For example, Rocket Launcher
  • Ultimate weapons: Charged through bloodshed and deal very high damage. For example, Chainsaw
  • Equipment launchers: Automatically fired upon enemies in close range. For example, Frag grenade

Once you customize your loadout, you can enter the battle and use your weapons to their full potential. You can upgrade your weapons by spending the required amount of tokens, coins and even "fuse" copies of the same weapon to increase their range and rarity.

As you progress through the game's chapters, you will unlock more weapons and even acquire more resources to make upgrades. And before entering a mission, you can check your inventory and choose the best combination of weapons to enhance your shooter experience and become the ultimate demon slayer.
