The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom offers an expansive world for exploration packed with resources and unique creatures. Fortunately, the game features Hyrule Compendium that you can refer to learn more about the creatures and items in the game world. You can go one step ahead and unlock the Sensor and Sensor+ upgrade for it in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Sensor+ is an upgraded version of the Sensor function and is extremely useful in farming for in-game resources or locating creatures. You can acquire this upgrade from a character named Robbie after obtaining the Sensor function first and locating a shrine in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom includes a handy tool called Purah Pad that can be used in many ways, such as taking photos using its camera feature and referring to the Hyrule Compendium that displays all pertinent details about creatures, plants, and other items.

You can follow the guide on how to acquire the Sensor function for the Purah Pad in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Once you complete the quest to obtain this function, you can talk to Robbie again to get the Sensor+ upgrade.

Follow the steps below to use the Sensor+ feature:

  1. Head into the map by pressing the - button on Nintendo Switch.
  2. Navigate to the Hyrule Compendium tab on the right.
  3. You can select any creature, item, or plant by pressing the Y button (you must have a photo of the target item you wish to track).

After selecting your desired target, keep an eye on the radar icon just beside the mini-map which beeps when you are in proximity of the target. However, note that you should have a photo of the item or creature in the Hyrule Compendium if you wish to track it.

To obtain the Sensor+ upgrade, you will need to register five creatures in the compendium for Robbie. Resort to the camera to capture photographs of any five creatures you encounter during your exploration to register them to the compendium.

Refer to the guide on how to obtain the camera and use it adeptly without engaging in combat with the creatures. Return to Robbie after adding five creatures to the compendium to acquire the Sensor+ upgrade.
