League of Legends LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs: Qualified teams, schedule, livestream details, and more

After four weeks of competitive matches, the League of Legends LEC Summer 2024 has reached its Playoffs. Eight teams will play for the title and the winner will book its spot at the LoL Worlds tournament. Furthermore, the competition is more significant as the winner and both second and third-placed teams will qualify for the LEC Season Finals.

Ahead of the LEC Summer Playoffs, let's delve into all the details about the qualified teams, schedule, and more aspects.

Although ten teams participated in the LEC Summer Regular Season, only eight have made it to the Playoffs. The deciding factor was still relevant on the final day. MAD Lions KOI, Team Vitality, and Rogue all three teams had the same record, and they had to go through a tie-breaker.

Here are the final eight teams that qualified for the Playoffs:

Team Heretics
GIANTX
MAD Lions KOI

SK Gaming and Team BDS finished the Regular Season with the best record (8-1). Meanwhile, MAD Lions KOI secured the Playoff Stage after defeating Rogue and Team Vitality in tie-breakers to qualify as the last-placed team.

LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs: Schedule

The Playoff Stage will be played in a double-elimination format. Thus, if a team loses a match, they will get a second chance in the lower bracket. Nevertheless, a team will be eliminated if they lose in the lower bracket.

The Playoffs will start on July 12, 2024, and run until July 28, 2024. Here are the Round 1 matches:

Match 1: SK Gaming vs Team Heretics
Match 2: Fnatic vs GIANTX
Match 3: Team BDS vs MAD Lions KOI
Match 4: G2 Esports vs Karmine Corp

The matchup timings will be updated when they are officially revealed.

Notably, Round 1 and Round 2 matches of the Playoffs will be played in a best-of-three format. The remaining games in the upper and lower brackets will all be played in best-of-five formats.
