Dying Light The Beast release date announced during the Summer Game Fest 2025

Dying Light The Beast release date was officially revealed during Summer Game Fest 2025, which is live as of writing. While speaking on stage, Geoff Keighley revealed that Techland’s standalone title will launch on August 22, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Originally envisioned as DLC for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Techland reevaluated its approach and expanded it as a standalone experience. That pivot was made official during Gamescom 2024, and now we finally have a date locked in.

The new SGF 2025 trailer confirms that Kyle Crane is the lead once again. Following the events of the first game, Crane has been subject to brutal experiments by a character known as The Baron, which has left him in a half-human, half-zombie state. The story follows Crane’s struggle with his mutated identity and his mission to hunt down the man behind it.

Pre-orders and pricing for Dying Light The Beast

The pre-order period for Dying Light The Beast is now live. The standard price is $59.99/£49.99 across all platforms. Those who pre-order will get access to the Hero of Harran Bundle, which comes with:

Castor Woods Patrol vehicle

Techland also confirmed that players who previously purchased the Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition will receive The Beast at no extra cost, including the full pre-order bundle.

To go with the new announcement, Techland has slashed prices on its previous releases:

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is 67% off (now $23.09) on Steam and PlayStation.
The original Dying Light is 80% off ($3.99) on Steam and 70% off ($8.99) on the PS Store.

These deals will run until June 19, 2025.
