Popular livestreamer Turner "Tfue" has come out of retirement after five months and revealed that he will be making content on Twitch's rival platform, Kick. He was a highly popular streamer — having amassed more than 11 million followers on the Amazon-owned platform — before announcing his retirement from the streaming industry back in June 2023.

With many speculating about his return and possibly signing a contract with a platform other than Twitch, this development has been welcomed by many of his supporters. Through a clip, Tfue not only revealed that he was finally coming out of retirement but also that he would be streaming on Kick.

At the end of this trailer, the streamer greets his fans while donning a cap with that site's name and states:

"What up f*ckers, I'm back!"

"Lets gooo!": Nickmercs, TimTheTatman, and fans welcome Tfue as streamer joins Kick after coming out of five-month-long retirement

Although he has played a variety of battle royale games on his stream, such as H1Z1 and PUBG, Tfue has been predominantly known for his Fortnite gameplay since he started streaming back in 2016. This veteran content creator is quite a popular figure in the gaming community, and fans were very disappointed when he decided to take a long break in June.

The news of his signing with Kick has also caused quite a stir, along with the fact that he is finally coming back from the hiatus he took earlier this year. Not only were fans excited to see the streamer back on camera, but his fellow creators were also quite delighted with the announcement.

Nickmercs, who'd only recently joined the platform himself after his Twitch deal expired, seemed excited to welcome him to Kick.

Here are some other reactions from X, which also include comments from esports professionals.

It is unclear whether Tfue's deal with Kick is exclusive. If it is anything like the well-publicized $100 million contract that Felix "xQc" got, Turner could still be streaming on other platforms, such as Twitch. For the time being, fans can catch him on the new platform from November 20, probably jumping into Fortnite OG.
