Jimmy Donaldson, known all over the world as MrBeast, recently responded to a post by T-Series on X. The two are currently locked in a battle of supremacy on YouTube as the American content creator's subscriber count recently passed 253 million. The Indian record label still has an advantage, currently boasting the most amount of subscribers on the platform at 163 million.

The gap between their sub counts has been steadily dropping over the last couple of years with Jimmy gradually catching up. T-Series made a post on April 17, sharing a message from the late founder Gulshan Kumar Dua about seeing the country doing good on the international stage.

The company has been asking people to subscribe to keep their spot on YouTube, and captioned the post with this short message:

"Join us as we soar! Your support propels us forward. Subscribe now and be part of the T Family. Together, we'll make history!"

On April 22, MrBeast responded to the aforementioned post on X and directly asked his followers and others on the platform to subscribe to his channel instead:

"Naw, subscribe to me instead"

MrBeast vs T-Series Subscriber battle charts and numbers explored

Much like how T-Series and PewDiePie had a subscriber battle back in 2018 after the Indian music company overtook him in 2017, it seems like fans will get a similar rivalry between Donaldson and the record label as the number of followers for each channel starts edging closer.

Interestingly, MrBeast was one of PewDiePie's biggest supporters during his push for subs, even renting out billboards across the USA to get people to subscribe to the Swede's channel. Followers will know that T-Series won that battle.

However, Jimmy's numbers are looking good this time around. Here's a chart with a side-by-side comparison from Social Blade which showcases the difference in channel growth between the two.

It is clear that while T-Series may have been at the top spot for around seven years, MrBeast has made huge gains as indicated by the much steeper graph. The YouTuber from Greenville, North Carolina crossed the 250 million subscriber mark only a few days ago, while the Indian music company reached that milestone in October 2023.

Since then, T-Series only added 10 million to their tally, while Jimmy's channel has already amassed 3 million within a couple of weeks. That said, no one can say whether the gap will continue to decrease, but the graph does show that the subscriber battle will be quite a close one.
