There is no shortage of ridiculous Genshin Impact mods, most of which are tied to changing a character's model. Oftentimes, they're connected to third-party games outside this series, but several generic ones can also seem off. It is vital to mention that this article only focuses on the weird modifications that aren't NSFW. Before getting into the list, let's read a quick disclaimer.

Note: Do not use Genshin Impact mods in the public version of the game. Your account could get banned if you break the Terms of Service. This article is merely to highlight some bizarre modifications that currently exist and is not meant to promote or endorse them.

Foxboy Childe and 4 other silly Genshin Impact mods

1) Carl Johnson skin mod

Carl Johnson (more popularly known as CJ) is an iconic protagonist from the legendary GTA San Andreas. He's made several unofficial crossovers into other games via modifications. Unsurprisingly, there is a Genshin Impact mod that has him replace one of the characters.

The above video shows him replicating several characters' abilities, such as:

  • Zhongli
  • Venti
  • Tartaglia
  • Ayato
  • Itto
  • Razor
  • Albedo

Seeing a normal person do all of those characters' Elemental Bursts is interesting. GTA and Genshin Impact are two radically different types of games, so seeing them cross over in this manner is quite strange but welcome.

2) Timmie as Childe

Timmie is a bit of a meme NPC in the community, as many gamers seem to despise him. People tend to dislike him because of his attitude toward the player scaring away his birds.

Seeing him replicate the same feats as Tartaglia is unexpected but amusing nonetheless. This mod literally just replaces Childe with Timmie. Seeing him use an Elemental Burst on some pigeons is pretty funny since Timmie usually complains about you attacking or scaring off his birds.

3) Foxboy Childe

Tartaglia as a foxboy is bizarre. If Timmie can take over Childe's role, then it's only fair for Childe to become Diona. However, the animation swap is done solely for this video. The actual Genshin Impact mod is merely a character skin swap for the original Tartaglia. Nonetheless, some fans might be interested in seeing a Fatui Harbinger don some fox ears and a tail.

Seeing characters do animations they were never intended to do is often comical. This is especially true when the character would never be seen doing it realistically.

4) Amber as Azhdaha

While the previous Genshin Impact mods were ridiculous in a funny way, this one is just absurd. Amber doesn't have any correlation with Azhdaha in this game, so seeing her model become gigantic and replace him isn't something on most players' minds. How this concept originally popped into the modder's head past it being a joke is a question worth asking.

In the modder's own words:

"I thought of making a meme out of this that makes amber takes revenge from being a hated character."

There's the lore for what's arguably the strangest character swap in this game's history.

5) Skeleton Bennett

Halloween-themed mods can be enjoyable, but using them outside of the season would be somewhat ridiculous. Skeleton Bennett is made by the same modder as the Amber Genshin Impact mod.

Interestingly, Skeleton Bennett still has his hair. His muscles and other vitals are long gone, but at least players get to know this pile of bones is Bennett. Some people might find the skeleton cool, while others might find it creepy.

Regardless of personal tastes in aesthetics, that's the end of this list of strange Genshin Impact mods.
