Although Hogwarts Legacy was released without the iconic wizarding world sports, WB Games soon revealed that Quidditch Champions would be a standalone title available to Potterheads around the world sometime in the future. The announcements also revealed that limited playtests would be held for the new game. Clips from the same were recently leaked, providing players with a look at the gameplay and mechanics.

Quidditch Champions is being developed by Unbroken Studios and will be published by WB Games under the Portkey Games label. Interested Potterheads can sign up for the aforementioned limited playtest by making their way to the game's official website, logging into their WB account, answering the questions, and submitting the form.

Character, broom, and other customizations, along with gameplay showcased in recent Quidditch Champions leaks

The leaks came from someone who got access to Quidditch Champions' limited playtest. The short clips showcased the title's gameplay and customization types, involving characters, roles, brooms, broom trails, and more. For context, the playtest reportedly went live on May 20.

The gameplay leak showcased the player's character flying around during a match. The color palette is warm and bright, and the art style is different from that of Hogwarts Legacy. The UI revealed options for changing roles, tackling, and calling for a pass. The options reportedly change based on the role the player chooses in-game.

The customization clip showcased characters from the original saga, including Draco Malfoy, Cedric Diggory, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Rolanda Hooch. A variety of broom styles, colors, and trails are seemingly available. Players will also get to select their own victory and goal celebrations.

The developers define the game as a "standalone Quidditch experience," allowing players to band together with their friends "in the sport of Quidditch and other broomstick adventures." It will be available on PC and consoles, but specific platforms have not yet been confirmed yet.

It's worth noting that the absence of Quidditch from Hogwarts Legacy did not go down well with the community. As the development for Quidditch Champions progresses, fans are eager to learn more about the multiplayer aspect of the game and its eventual release.
