Rumour: Gamestop Italy lists spring release date for The Legend of Zelda Wii U

The Gamestop store suggests The Legend of Zelda Wii U will be out in Spring

My Nintendo News has reported that a Gamestop Store in Italy has now listed a spring release date for The Legend of Zelda Wii U. A photo taken at the Gamestop outlet shows a pre-order box-art for the upcoming game. The cover for the game says “Primavera 2015” which translates to Spring 2015. This could suggest that the game will be out this Spring.

Nintendo has not revealed a release date for the game yet, though they did mention that it would be out sometime in 2015. But considering how huge the title is, it is very unlikely that it will release this soon. The more plausible reason is that maybe the store got their box-art from the Southern Hemisphere where Spring starts from the month of September until November. Currently it is Fall for countries in the Southern Hemisphere.

However, if The Legend of Zelda for Wii U does release in Spring, it will be a huge surprise for Zelda fans who have been eargerly waiting for any kind of news on the title. This will also be a great decision for Nintendo to avoid Microsoft and Sony’s big releases that are slated to hit this Fall. These include Halo 5: Guardians and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which will be releasing in Fall 2015.

Hopefully Nintendo will be able to confirm a release date for The Legend of Zelda Wii U soon. Nintendo has stated that the game will have a large world and plenty of side quests to keep players occupied.
