Streamer is a person who broadcasts themselves online through a live stream or pre recorded video. Genres include playing video games, tutorials, or solo chats.The live streaming of video games is an activity where people broadcast themselves playing games to a live audience online.


Streaming arose in the early 2010s, originating in sites like YouTube where users could upload videos of themselves in the form of vlogs or Let's Play. While all the content was not live, users were still able to gain a good number of audience and make a living off of their content. Other sites like Twitch increased this popularity. Since the streamers can make millions of dollars, streaming has become a viable career option for individuals.
