The first step to getting the best ending in The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion is to progress the Beast of Toussaint questline.

Listed below are all the quests in which you'll need to make key decisions to achieve the best ending in Blood and Wine:

  • The Night of Long Fangs
  • Beyond Hill and Dale
  • Pomp and Strange Circumstance

There aren't a lot of decisions to make in The Night of Long Fangs, as all you have to do is take Syanna to Detlaff. Doing so will allow you to continue the story with Beyond Hill and Dale. The second quest is extremely important and will be key to getting the best ending in the Blood and Wine expansion.

Your first step will be to go through all of the journal entries before heading into the Land of a Thousand Fables. Once Geralt and Syanna enter the illusion, you must exhaust all her dialogue options while remaining sympathetic. Furthermore, you need to beat the Little Flint Girl in a game of Gwent to win Sylvia's Anna ribbon from her.

Now you are free to move forward but make sure to exhaust all of Syanna's dialogue before leaving the area. Once "Pomp and Strange Circumstance" begins, you must pay a visit to Syanna before heading over to Damien. Choose the following dialogue options while speaking to her:

  • "Cause she turned her back on you..."
  • "Ever thought to forgive her?"
  • "Might ask her that."

When you speak to the Duchess, simply ask her to show mercy to Syanna. If you've followed the guide until now, you will achieve the best ending in The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine DLC.
