The Extra Bag slots in Lies of P can easily go unnoticed if you're not looking for them. But once you know where they are and how to use them, they become a solid part of your loadout — especially in the Overture DLC, where juggling between usable items quickly can make a difference mid-fight.
Here’s a guide on how to find, equip, and use the Extra Bag in Lies of P.

When you open up the menu in Lies of P, scroll past the two main belt sections — the upper and lower belt. Right under those, you’ll see a smaller inventory section labelled Extra Bag as shown in the above image. This section gives you four slots where you can place usable items and gestures — no weapons or legion arms.
It’s a quiet little feature in the UI, and the game doesn’t exactly point it out or explain it clearly. There's a note in the in-game guide, but it's easy to miss and doesn’t walk you through it.
How to use it in-game
Using the Bag is simple once you know the inputs. While exploring or in combat:
- Hold A (on Xbox) or X (on PlayStation)
- While holding it, your HUD’s item belt will switch to the Bag
- Then just press the D-Pad, which corresponds to picking the item you want to use
Each D-Pad direction links to one of the four Bag slots.
It is important to note here that you can’t expand these four slots. The Extra Bag is tied to the D-Pad directions, and that’s the limit.
How to swap items

If you want to change what’s in each slot, head into your main menu:
- Navigate to the Extra Bag section
- Highlight a slot
- Press A/X to open the list of available usable items and gestures
From here, just pick what you want in that slot. Items like Pulse Cell, as shown in the image, or even just your favourite gestures work well here.
