The Two-faced Overseer in Lies of P Overture is one of the many bosses you'll fight in the DLC's campaign. There is no special weapon you get by defeating him. However, it serves as an important skill check that unlocks a few zones. You'll need to be well-prepared to see this boss fight to the end. Thus, don't underestimate him.

How to beat the Two-faced Overseer in Lies of P Overture

Preparing for the boss

There are three items you can acquire to make the fight easier:

• Legion Arm with Puppet String maxed out allows you to close the distance and execute an attack with the same move.
• Daylight Wreathed Horn (if you want a support NPC).
• Perfection Grindstone (to make the boss's aggressive outbursts easier to handle).

Blow the Wreathed Horn immediately after entering the arena to summon a support NPC. He is a massive help who makes the fight more manageable. Make sure you both aren't clumped together. This way, at least one can avoid taking damage. The Legion Arm is incredible in this fight due to its high range. It pulls you towards the boss and then transitions into a quick attack that deals good damage.

After you deplete 25% of his health, he'll enter an aggressive phase, marked by a red aura appearing around him. His attacks will be stronger and faster. This is where you immediately consume your first Perfection Grindstone. This item temporarily allows you to Perfect Guard attacks by just blocking them. This means simply holding the block button when attacks hit you will result in them getting deflected.

This item isn't useful in other fights, considering grab attacks bypass Perfect Guards. You will most probably get hit by it if you're holding the block button while using the Grindstone. However, the Two-faced Overseer in Lies of P Overture doesn't have a move that can bypass Perfect Guards. While he does have an unblockable grab, it is a second part of an attack combo. Thus, if the first chunk is Perfect Guarded, he won't transition into the next move.

The aggressive phase of Two-faced Overseer in Lies of P Overture doesn't have a fixed duration. The only way to revert him to normal is to keep attacking him. Use the Puppet String to keep the pressure on the boss and continue the offensive.

Charged Heavies are also great for breaking the boss out of his aggressive phase. They also inflict a good amount of stagger damage, so use it to set up a riposte. The boss is vulnerable after being downed, use the opportunity to deal some free damage. However, if your weapon is low on durability, use the moment to sharpen it instead. You don't want it to break in the middle of the fight. Make sure not to get cornered by the boss in the heat of the brawl.

After depleting 75% of his health, he'll enter the aggressive phase again. This time, it usually lasts till the end of the boss fight. Follow the same tactic before dealing damage.
