During the Summer Game Fest, developer NEOWIZ revealed further details about Lies of P, a gothic spin on the traditional Pinocchio story. This Soulslike game, a bleak retelling of Pinocchio's narrative, will see the player handling the iconic puppet as he hunts for Mr Geppetto.
What is Lies of P?
Lies of P is a fresh take on a traditional fairy tale. Gamers will play as P, a puppet who must travel through Krat's damaged and chaotic streets in quest of Geppetto, your maker, who may just have the solution to how you might become human.
Using Souls-like gameplay, Lies of P transports players into a dark, scary world full of malicious puppets and terrible monsters who strive to halt you in your tracks by any means necessary.
Lies of P Gameplay
Combat will be brutal, the terrain will teem with secrets and optional bosses, and many people will perish. Don't be shocked if the first boss in "Lies of P" is similarly rage-inducing. While the similarities to "Bloodborne" are apparent, "Lies of P" adds some variations to the Soulslike model.
According to the game's Twitter account, there will be 30 different weapon kinds, each of which may be divided into two parts: the blade and the hilt. The hilt controls attack motions and may be used with any other knife. As previously said, lying to characters will play an essential role in the story.
When a player lies, they earn Humanity Points. The game's finish will be determined by the number of points gained by the player by the end. Lying affects NPC interactions and the sorts of foes the player may confront.

Lies of P is set to premiere on September 19, 2023. With the demo now accessible, players can taste what's to come.
