Boss moves
Remember that the Tail whip attack often follows other attacks, so stay alert.
Loadout for the fight
Pack a Black Steel Cutter, Salamander Dagger, or Flamberge and apply Fire Abrasive to inflict burn or extra damage. You can also use Carcass Butcher’s, Dancing One’s, Extreme Mod, Iron Wall, or Patience Amulets to boost damage, timing, or defence.
Grabs can kill you easily — boost vitality so you can survive one. Bring a Perfection Grindstone if your parry timing isn’t smooth. Use Thermites for extra damage at the start, but remember to avoid being close when it's winding up.
How to defeat the Tyrannical Predator in Lies of P Overture
The fight kicks off with a long entrance animation, so don’t waste it. Get some free hits before the beast is ready. From there, stay aggressive but smart. Throw light combos when it pauses and pull back once it starts winding up for the next attack.

Fire is your best friend in this fight, so keep burn damage going with fire-enhanced weapons or abrasives. However, be careful near the boss, as the Tail Whip has a nasty, wide hitbox that punishes players. Finally, never underestimate the Grabbing Bite; if your health is low, focus on dodging and repositioning. Going for greedy damage can cost you the entire run.
After depleting its HP and dodging those terrifying jaws, the boss will drop a Full Moonstone, which is ideal for your new fire weapons.
