Kuro Games has announced that server maintenance for the upcoming Wuthering Waves 1.2 will begin on August 15, 2024, at 6 am (UTC+8) and end at 1 pm (UTC+8). This means that the downtime will last seven hours.

Zhezhi will debut on August 15, 2024, and her banner will be available as soon as the new 1.2 update goes live. She is a 5-star Glacio Resonator that uses a Rectifier. Zhezhi is expected one of the sub-DPS units in the game that can also provide support to a party member by buffing their damage and recovering energy.

Meanwhile, Xiangli Yao will be in the second phase of version 1.2, which will begin on September 7, 2024. He is a 5-star Electro Resonator that uses a Gauntlet and is expected to be a good on-field damage dealer. Furthermore, players will receive a copy of Xiangli Yao for free in the second half of the update by participating in the "By Moon's Grace" limited-time event.
