Lewis Hamilton has claimed that Formula One will never be boring even if Sebastian Vettel continues his domination.

“I don’t know. I couldn’t care less if people get bored with it, I am racing, and enjoying and here to do a job I love doing. That’s the danger in all sports when people are being competitive and some people are winning quite a lot,” Hamilton said to The Guardian.

Vettel is currently on course for his fourth World championship in a row after securing a win at the Belgian Grand Prix and thereby extending his lead to 46 points.

Vettel finished 17 seconds ahead of Fernando Alonso while Hamilton was another 10.8s adrift. Although Hamilton’s hopes of catching up to Vettel took a blow at Belgium, the driver insisted that the team should be proud of their performance.

“I don’t feel it is a kick in the balls. We finished third so there is no low. Already this year has been a major success, third in Championship, second in Constructors’ Championship. We can’t be disappointed with where we are for the rest of year,” he said.
