Dietrich Mateschitz, owner of the Red Bull F1 team, admitted that Kimi Raikkonen could possibly replace Mark Webber, after his contract expires at the end of 2013. This was after the news which broke out about Porsche getting in touch with Mark Webber regarding a new prototype team for Le Mans, which will possibly hit the tracks by 2014.

Dietrich Mateschitz said,”Kimi is cool and fast and always a candidate.” He also added,”Sorry, I know it’s a diplomatic answer which leaves everything open, but that’s how it is. Everything else is pure speculation.”

Also, Mark Webber would possible continue his career with Red Bull itself, depending on his his retirement. Mateschitz added,”Whether Webber retires, only he will choose. He is always welcome with us. So too would be a quick junior like Vergne or Ricciardo from the Toro Rosso team,”

So all the Red Bull fans out there, keep your fingers crossed.
