Max Verstappen is regarded as one of the fiercest drivers of his generation, as he has claimed four world championships and is the reigning F1 world champion. He was born in Belgium but races under the Dutch flag as he represents the Netherlands at the pinnacle of racing, just like his father.
The Red Bull driver gets his racing genes from his family tree. The Dutchman has vast connections to the F1 world with much of his family being involved in racing and its know-how at least once in their lifetime. So, let's take a look at Verstappen's closest allies:
Who are Max Verstappen's parents?

The four-time champion got his thirst for race victories from his parents. His father, Jos Verstappen, is a renowned F1 driver and made 106 race starts with two podiums to his name.
On the other hand, his mother, Sophie Kumpen, was also a racing fanatic. She was a successful kart racer and married Jos in 1996. A year later, Max was born, inheriting the genes of his motorsport-loving parents.
Who are Max Verstappen's siblings?
Jos Verstappen had two kids from his first marriage, and Max was the firstborn. The former F1 driver then had his second child with Kumpen in 1999, Victoria Verstappen.
Like her elder brother, Victoria started her racing career in her childhood days. The reigning world champion even went on to claim how his younger sister had the same talent as him in their karting days, but lacked one aspect, as he once revealed (via GPBlog):
"I think my sister probably had the same amount of talent as I had when I was little, but she just didn’t want it enough. She liked it but not enough to, like, fight for it, be fit, be ready.
There were a few instances where my dad would spend two days preparing everything like he would do with me, making sure everything was perfect for her to drive. Then she would drive for like 20 laps, and then she’s like ‘that’s it for me for today’. And then my dad would get quite annoyed."
However, Verstappen Sr. and Kumpen divorced in 2008 as rifts formed between the two. A few years later, Jos married his second wife, Kelly wan der Waal. He had his second daughter, Blue Jaye Verstappen, in 2014.
Blue was Max Verstappen's first stepsister, but his father soon split from his second marriage and married for a third time to Sandy Sijtsma in 2018. The two-time F1 podium sitter then had two more children from his latest marriage, as his second son, Jason Jaxx, was born in 2019, and his third daughter, Mila Faye, was born in 2020.
So, the reigning F1 world champion has a single blood-related sister and three other step-siblings.
