Rapper will.i.am praised the current F1 top sitters, Red Bull, mentioning that it is quite ironic for a team that produces energy drinks to have such a performance and dominate all over the grid.

The American rapper said:

"The ambition, bro. Think about it, a freaking drink is out engineering engineers. Talk about ambition and audacity."

The team has been quite unstoppable this season, with another ferocious victory in Miami, it seems apparent that they will grab their sixth world championship by the end of this year. However, the team came into existence in quite some way.

Red Bull made their F1 debut in 2005, taking over from Jaguar and Minardi. The team also has a sister team, which was then called Toro Rosso, now AlphaTauri. The brand is a famous energy drink brand, and like any other brand, they only joined the sport to sponsor and advertise the drink.

Their origins in the sport date back to 1995 when they were Sauber's sponsor. However, what began as a sponsorship campaign turned into a serious move as they won four consecutive world championships between 2010 to 2013, and again in 2021 and 2022, with Max Verstappen this time.

The 2023 season is too going their way, winning all five races of the season until now, and Verstappen's huge win from a P9 start in Miami, a track that is reportedly hard to overtake, proves how strong Red Bull are.

Max Verstappen reveals Red Bull's developmental plans strong to maintain dominance in 2023

It has been expected for multiple teams like Ferrari and Mercedes that they will be bringing in upgrades later in the season which will help them battle with Red Bull. This is because of the fact that the Milton Keynes outfit has a very limited aero testing time in the wind tunnel, owing to the penalty they are serving for breaking the budget cap in 2021.

However, as Max Verstappen revealed, Red Bull's upgrades will be strong enough to keep this performance up in the season. He said:

"It’s not like the others are bringing new bits and we’re just standing still. So hopefully we can just keep it going like we’re doing now."

The team is currently sitting at the top of the standings with 224 points, over a hundred points lead from Aston Martin, who are right behind them with 102 points. This lead is dominating enough, and it is expected that they will try to keep this up.
