However, he hasn't been quite as good. He remains to be one of the only two drivers who are still sitting point-less in the standings. It has been mentioned that Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko has given him the 'yellow card', a warning. It says that if he fails to perform in the next five races, the team will have no other option but to replace him with a different driver. (AlphaTauri is RBR's sister-team).With this, there were hopes for Daniel Ricciardo to make a return to the seat, and many have been expecting this. However, in recent statements, Marko has revealed that the Australian will not be shifted down from RBR to AlphaTauri. PlanetF1 quoted him:"If the worst came to the worst, we would fall back on our pool of young talent. We are talking specifically about Liam Lawson and Ayumu Iwasa. Ricciardo is not an issue."Daniel Ricciardo had mentioned earlier, after parting ways with McLaren, that he would rather sit out this season and start with a strong team in 2024 than settle for a slower team. The season is still long enough, and it would be interesting to see what comes the way for the 33-year-old.
