Mercedes driver George Russell took a cheeky dig at Red Bull driver Max Verstappen after the latter was spotted partying after the Las Vegas Grand Prix In the early hours of the morning. The Dutch driver was able to capture his fourth successive world championship in the Sin City after he finished P5 in the main race on Saturday night last weekend.

The 27-year-old needed to finish ahead of his title rival McLaren driver Lando Norris and he did so as the British driver finished P6 to win the championship with two races remaining. After taking a couple of beer cans during his media duties, the Red Bull driver continued his party celebrations throughout the night as was confirmed by Russell.

While speaking to the media in Qatar, George Russell spoke about Max Verstappen's exploits in Las Vegas and revealed:

“I don’t think [Max] saw me. But I saw him in the bar at nine in the morning when I was leaving for the airport… He didn’t see me. He was too (drowsy), nodding away so…”

Verstappen, who was alongside the British driver, replied:

"I was very thirsty, I mean it was 5 pm somewhere, so!"

The Mercedes driver wasted no time in pulling a cheeky dig on him as he said:

"Max is a pro racing driver, pro-FIFA player, padel player, drinker.."

The newly crowned four-time F1 world champion concluded:

"A man of many talents!"

Lando Norris gives his take on Max Verstappen's comments on winning the title in a McLaren

Lando Norris stated that he disagreed with Max Verstappen after the latter claimed that he would have won the title sooner in a McLaren this year.

Speaking with de Telegraaf, the Dutchman said:

"If people are critical and think that I can only win in the best car, then I prove the opposite. If I don't get credit for this now, then I don't know what else I can do. Would I have become champion in the McLaren? Yes! And much earlier too."

To which Norris, while speaking to Sky Sports, mentioned that the world champion should try a career in comedy, adding:

"He should start in comedy or something! He can say whatever he wants. Of course, I completely disagree, as I would. He's good. But he's not true. know what Max is capable of doing. It depends.
"If there was no Red Bull, yeah, even I could have won if there was no Red Bull and Max was not in a Red Bull, I would have won the championship! I don't believe it [his comments]. I like his confidence. I can say whatever. I can say 'I was the world champion, I can do this or that'. But, not possible."

Max Verstappen can add to his win tally in the next two races and cap off another successful season with the Austrian team by helping them chase down McLaren in the Constructor's Championship.
