Yuki Tsunoda of Japan and Scuderia AlphaTauri looks on from the drivers parade prior to the F1 Grand Prix of Miami

Red Bull junior and AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda was seen helping the locals of the Faenza region in Italy during the recent floods.

The Japanese driver drives for the site team of the Red Bull F1 team called Scuderia AlphaTauri, which is based and operates in Faenza. The recent heavy rainfall and flooding in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy brought about the cancelation of the F1 2023 Emilia Romagna GP which was supposed to be held this weekend.

The sport, along with the local authorities and F1 teams, decided to call off the race to not put further pressure on the region. Yuki Tsunoda, who was in Faenza ahead of the Grand Prix, could be seen actively helping in cleaning the streets and doing his part.

"I just tried to be as relaxed as possible" - Red Bull junior

Yuki Tsunoda mentioned that he does not want to have a lot of regrets in his time in F1 and also pointed out that he was a bit more relaxed in the 2023 season as compared to previous years.

Speaking to Motorsport Italy, the Red Bull junior said:

“Well, first of all, especially in this third year, if I have to continue to do what I was doing last season, if I'm not doing as well as I want or should do, I know I can do it. In every race I did last year I had the feeling that I could have done more, even in qualifying I tried these things and you know, especially in my third year, anything can happen and if you keep going like this, you lose your place. So I was able to think about how much Formula 1 means to me, how much motorsport means to me."

He added:

“That helps, of course. I've seen a couple of documentaries and I don't want to be like the one who has a lot of regrets, who wasn't able to give his all in Formula 1 and now he's gone. So these things, like the mindset, make me stronger and make me realize that it's time to really change myself, professionally and everything."
"I didn't even try to change, I just tried to be as relaxed as possible. Being comfortable, as usual, but at the same time making sure that I enjoy every race and give my good performances, give my best, not much has changed."

It will be fascinating to see if Tsunoda can land a seat at Red Bull in the next few seasons given his upturn in form.
