Chinese GP podium finishers Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Sergio Perez were left dumbfounded while reacting to Daniel Ricciardo and Lance Stroll's clash in the main race on Sunday.

Ricciardo and Stroll found themselves involved in an odd collision, which saw the Aston Martin driver ram into the back of the Aussie during the safety car period. The Canadian driver was in P11 behind Daniel Ricciardo and was a bit too eager to get going in the Turn 14 hairpin as the safety car period was ending.

The impact broke the diffuser on the RB driver's car, which meant that he had to retire from the race while Stroll was given a 10-second penalty.

Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Sergio Perez were shocked after they saw the footage of the collision in the cooldown room with the three-time world champion covering his mouth in disbelief.

While speaking to The Race, Daniel Ricciardo was not one bit pleased with the incident and criticized the Aston Martin driver:

“The biggest thing is if they’re like ‘oh, we’ll give him a five-place penalty the next race', but he still is then blaming me, that’s a bigger problem. I want him to understand once the dust settles, if he's still hot-headed today, he needs to learn from this."
“We've all made mistakes. I've done it, we all have. As long as he understands that he was the one that's ruined not only his race but mine, that's the biggest thing we can take away.”

Daniel Ricciardo chimes in on Lance Stroll's team radio at the Chinese GP

Daniel Ricciardo stated that Lance troll calling him an 'idiot' on the team made his blood boil as he called out the Aston Martin driver.

As quoted by the aforementioned source, the Aussie said:

“And apparently I'm an idiot. And it was my fault. So, that made my blood boil. Because it's clear as day - and it's also behind a safety car.
“The only thing you've got to do is watch the car in front, we can't predict what the leader is going to do. We can't assume that we're going to go in Turn 14. The race doesn't start until the control line."

It would be fascinating to see if Daniel Ricciardo and Lance Stroll would speak about the issue in the driver's briefing ahead of the Miami GP in a couple of weeks.
