That winning feeling!: Jenson Button alongside his girlfriend Jessica Michibata post his 2011 Canadian GP victory. Jenson Button was last at one point of time during the race but stole the victory from Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel in the final lap.

4 hours, 4 minutes and 32 seconds, this should be enough to watch two Hollywood thrillers back-to-back. But it wouldn’t have given you the same kind of excitement that the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix dished out. Regarded as the longest F1 race in history in terms of race duration, the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix was one of those races which would be etched in the memories of Formula 1 fanatics forever.

The race began behind the safety car due to mild showers. However, it was red flagged for two hours halfway through the race due to heavy rain, leaving the fans disappointed. But the action resumed and we were treated to some high quality driving by McLaren’s Jenson Button, who made 34 overtakes and had to pit five times during the course of the race. That moment when he capitalized on Vettel’s mistake on the final lap to take first place on the podium would go down to be one of the most unforgettable moments in F1 history.
