Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has said that Sebastian Vettel’s dominance won’t last long despite driver’s win at Singapore Grand Prix, which helped him open up a 60 point lead at the top of the standings.

“His domination will end, maybe in 2014. We’re going to have completely new cars, new engines, new rules. That will be the chance for Ferrari and Mercedes to catch up with Vettel. Next year it might not be the best driver but the best car that wins the title,” Ecclestone told Germany’s Bild.

“He doesn’t give Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton a chance, he’s as dominant as (Ayrton) Senna or (Michael) Schumacher in certain periods,” he added.

The Red Bull driver is on the way to clinch his fourth consecutive championship but was booed once again at the podium in Singapore due to his dominance in the race.
